Merie Kirby grew up in California and now lives in North Dakota. She teaches at the University of North Dakota. She is the author of two chapbooks, The Dog Runs On and The Thumbelina Poems. Vitoria Faccin-Herman is the Assistant Professor of Graphic Design for the University of North Dakota Art & Design department. She is a Brazilian graphic designer and educator whose work spans academic research and creative practice. Her foci are visual literacy, graphic design education, and typography. In her creative practice, she uses a mix of cyanotype, found objects, painting, crochet, and letterpress printing to explore themes related to time, personhood, and politics.
