History Round Up

A cut-up poem composed of mismatched scraps of magazine clippings glued onto a brown craft paper background. The text reads: how global the rogue industries / people think it’s progress and discovery / it’s a weapon / disobedience will entail a disciplinary procedure. / during this time lead a revolution.

Tabassam Shah is a Southeastern Pennsylvania poet. Her poetry collection, Red & Crescent Moons, reflects upon Pakistani American family life in rural Appalachia. She is active in the poetry advocacy group BerksBards, based in Reading. A Highlights Foundation scholarship recipient, Tabassam is working on picture books about Pakistani American childhood.
